Documenting communities during covid-19

13 Months of Sunshine podcast

Ethiopia is called the Land of 13 Months of Sunshine because the skies are blue year round. Thousands of miles from home, in the rainy Pacific Northwest, Ethiopian immigrants and refugees have built tight knit communities in Seattle.

This podcast shares the extraordinary challenges and resilience of Ethiopians in King County during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite the gloom, there have been glimmers of sunshine.
